Student Guide

Currently our school has 6 locations in PA. Four of my students started their own Dojo (School) in the past 6 years. Two of my Shidoins are teaching in the West Chester area.

Our school has been in the West Chester area for over 29 years. We have gone through several positive changes in this time with an emphasis on providing excellent martial arts instruction.
Our school has very high standards for achieving the Black Belt rank. In the past 29 years we have promoted 24 people to Black Belt. Compared to some other schools this may seem like a small number, but considering the requirements that one must attain, this number reflects true quality in the Martial Arts. To achieve Black Belt one must be at least 16 years of age; one must have good knowledge of Katas and the movement interpretations; one must be able to defend him or herself against an adult. One must have good mental maturity both in and outside the Dojo; one must be proficient with the different moves and techniques required by Zentokukai; one must be able to move and act naturally in defending themselves; one must understand the "Do" in Karate-Do and have this in their heart. There are several other requirements, but this should give you a good understanding of what we are looking for in our students.

Below is breakdown of what is covered in our standard classes.
